Reflecting on Turning 25: Lessons and Gratitude

Perseverance & Resilience Through Hardships

Turning 25 has taught me the power of perseverance and resilience. These values have been my anchor, helping me push through challenges despite exhaustion. Working in a demanding corporate environment, I often stayed late, yet I'm proud I didn't give up or resign without securing a new job. This experience has made me more resilient, and I'm grateful for the strength to keep moving forward.

Finding Good People

I've always been independent, sometimes struggling to trust others due to past experiences. But this year, I discovered that good people are always around if you have the courage to seek them out. My coworkers, despite their own fatigue, helped me improve my skills in creating impactful PowerPoint presentations and Excel spreadsheets—areas where I struggled. If any of you are reading this, know I'm incredibly grateful for your time and support!

Learning Through Community and Mentors

One of the biggest lessons of 2025 is that any skill can be learned with the right community or mentor. Running has been a highlight this year. Starting with zero knowledge in 2024—not even knowing the right shoes to wear—I joined a running community that lowered the barriers to learning. This support helped me complete a marathon just five days ago, a milestone I never thought possible.

Avoiding Complacency, Embracing New Challenges

Looking back, I've always strived to move forward and never settle. Even when life feels comfortable, I seek new challenges to avoid complacency. In 2025, I sometimes felt stuck in a rut, but this reflection fuels my drive for bigger milestones. I'm excited to tackle new challenges, like pursuing a master's in robotics and pushing my limits further.
